Historic First “Uttarakhand Kauthig” Cultural Festival and Grand Consecration Ceremony to be held in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD – In a significant cultural milestone for the city, the Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand Sansthan and Shri Dakshineshwar Kedarnath Mandir Trust announced today at the Basheerbagh Press Club that Hyderabad will host its first-ever Uttarakhand Kauthig festival this January.
The festivities will combine deep spiritual traditions with a grand celebration of Himalayan culture at the Shri Dakshineshwar Kedarnath Temple in Yellampet, Medchal.
The Pran Pratishtha (Consecration Ceremony)
Dates: 16th and 17th January 2026
Venue: Shri Dakshineshwar Kedarnath Temple, Yellampet, Medchal
The temple will witness the sacred Pran Pratishtha of several deities, including:
Navgraha (The Nine Planets) Lord Shri Krishna and Lord Hanuman
Achaleshwar Mahadev Shivling and Shiv Panchayatan
Nag–Nagin idols
Additionally, two newly constructed Sant Nivas (residences for saints) will be officially inaugurated. The ceremony will be graced by revered saints and prominent political figures from both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Indian National Congress, marking a moment of unified spiritual celebration.

For the first time in Hyderabad’s history, the “Uttarakhand Kauthig” will bring the soul of the Himalayas to the Deccan. This mega-event is dedicated to the Uttarakhand migrant community and will feature:
International Performers: Renowned folk artists from Uttarakhand will perform traditional music and dance.
Community Gathering: Thousands of migrants residing across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are expected to unite to celebrate their heritage.

Addressing the media, Thakur Jaipal Singh Nayal Sanatani (Chairman of the Temple Trust and President of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand Seva Sansthan), Mr. Balveer Singh Rawat (General Secretary), and Mrs. Deepti Rawat (Lady President) extended a warm invitation to the public.
